If you're new and don't get how exactly this house goes, this is sort of a informational post.
BASICS! This place is called House of Seventeen Years, or holty. (It's just based off a song so don't read too into it.) This group is for anyone and everyone who needs to break out a new character or find a halfway house into a structured community RP. You develop your characters here. It's much easier to start off a new character in a not so serious environment instead of launching one off fresh from scratch.
THERE IS NO FORMAL APPLICATION.
JOIN THE COMMUNITY, POST AN INTRO, AND START REPLYING TO NEW THREADS.
(it is advisable to keep an OOC icon instead of using brackets.)
PLOT! there is none, for what that's worth.
The setting is a podunk town in New Jersey, or otherwise the shit going on in here would get on the news.
RULES! Barely any, seriously.
Don't Godmod, string a sentence together. Keep OOC and IC drama separate. It's totally uncomfortable. Go on and duke it out on your own time, I just don't want to hear about it.
Do what you whatever you want in character.
There are no limits on how many characters you bring.
There is no limit on canon/Original Characters &/or Played By's. NONE.
Either asterisk or storybook styles are fine.
METHOD! It's real simple.
This RP is done 97% in threads and comment trees. This facilitates the commune feeling towards the entire RP, making it extremely neat to play and ACTIVE :D
ACTIVITIES! almost every day.
At least three times a week I will post an official community activity for participation. Some of them are exclusive. As an example, the spooky, creepy goths would participate in Spooky Wednesdays.
Aside from official activities, Holty runs off of daily, unofficial activities.
